When you hear news of accidents whether it is a truck or automobile, more often than not, reporters would say it was because of brake malfunctions. The conditions of the brakes are essential to ensuring the safety of the car, the driver and the passenger especially when it is travelling on a rough road under a stormy weather. Looking at the surface of the brakes may not be enough because some of its parts are hidden. Cleaning and maintaining it with the tips from this infographic might keep you from the accident.
1. Brake discs are made of cast iron unless your car is something fancy or luxurious. If it is made of cast iron, just use the brake cleaner to clean the face of the disc.
2. What about the brake callipers? The truth is once the rusting starts, it would be hard to stop it. You can paint it any color you want gold, black, yellow or whatever, but it is not really necessary because rusting will eventually occur.
3. Brake discs need to be clean from time to time. How to do it properly? Spray the discs with brake cleaner. It can remove dirt and grease but not with corrosion. So, just leave the rusting area.
